Are you that analytically ambitious new Cargo colleague? KLM Cargo is working on its digital ambition to become more data-driven and on programmes to replace legacy systems and the relocation of the entire Cargo operation at Schiphol to a new innovative warehouse. With over 135 cargo warehouses in Europe, more than 40 trucking partners and 2 airports from/to which cargo is transported, you can imagine that trucking is an important part of AFKL Cargos logistics chain. To optimise trucking operations within the AFKL Cargo Group, we have therefore developed an in-house cloud-based application. eTruck is used by colleagues within both AF and KL for all kinds of (preparatory) transport processes: from freight planning on the trucks and ordering the right trucks in the process, to monitoring the operation and ultimately invoicing.
The application has more than 8 different user groups across Europe and offers numerous innovation opportunities, in which you as a Business Analyst play a key role! Innovation topics include using operational data in optimisation engines for improved freight planning on trucks, improved ordering of required trucks and even adjusting trucking schedules. Another hot topic is building a so-called execution monitor to provide insight into operational trucking data in one location for hubs and planners. The aim of these innovations is to reduce transport costs through higher loading rates and improve customer quality (e.g. FAB/DAP). As a full-time KL Business Analyst, you will analyse these improvement opportunities and translate the resulting business opportunities into IT development within a joint AF.
As a Business Analyst, you will contribute to the development and innovation of the international Operational Cargo IT and process landscape. You will be part of an ambitious, driven multidisciplinary business and IT team contributing to Cargos huge ambition.
You will work within an innovative and dynamic team that contributes to Cargos huge ambition, the team is located within KLMs Business Process Improvement Cargo with focus area Air France KLM Cargo Operations. The duty station is Schiphol-Centre (Cargo Building 1).
