As a Crew Training - UX Specialist in the Service Delivery team, you will design and optimise user-centred immersive learning experiences using VR and IXR technologies to enhance Cabin Crew training. You will ensure these solutions are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with business goals and compliance standards, and you will drive continuous improvement through collaboration and human-centred design.
In this role you will:
- Lead the design of immersive learning experiences that are intuitive, inclusive, emotionally engaging, and, aligned with user and business needs. Define user personas, learner journeys, and behavioural patterns to develop empathetic, relevant and engaging experiences whilst ensuring adherence to human centred design principles. Ensure immersive experiences adhere to human-centred design principles that reflect our organisational values, brand, and operational standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and vendors to ensure immersive content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with learning outcomes. Drive consistency in interaction models and integration into blended learning journeys. Review vendor deliverables to ensure quality, usability, and deployment readiness.
- Develop of onboarding flows, training materials, and documentation that guide instructors and learners through immersive experiences and promote comfort, confidence, and a seamless learning experience. Support delivery of immersive crew training sessions, ensuring smooth operations.
- Conduct structured reviews to assess operational and behavioural relevance and compliance with required industry standards, safety regulations, and organisational policies. Validate experience reliability in live deployment environments.
- Plan and oversee user testing and pilot programs across the IXR experience lifecycle. Translate behavioural data and learner feedback into actionable insights to continuously improve immersive learning experiences.
- Research and report on emerging trends in IXR technology and experiences to inform improvement, innovation, and best practices. Contribute to the development of immersive experiences across the organisation.
- Contribute to the development and analysis of operational, training, and business success metrics. Use insights to validate technology and design decisions, improve experience quality, and drive learning and business objectives.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent), preferably in Computer Science, Digital Media, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Inflight service or Inflight administration
- Background in the aviation or training industry
- Demonstrated success in introducing new capabilities and supporting organisational change
- Proven track record in process improvement and design
- Strong ability to build trusted relationships and communicate/collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience working in an agile environment and managing ambiguity effectively
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and driving change
- Solid understanding of human-centred design and human-computer interaction
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
- Familiarity with immersive platforms (e.g. Unreal, Unity) and hardware (e.g. VR/MR headsets, AR glasses)
- Demonstrated ability to conduct usability testing, analyse user behaviour, and translate insights into actionable improvements
