The Naval Strike Missile (NSM) business area within the Naval Air Missile (NAM) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) of the Naval Power SBU has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst. The position will partner and support the Romania programs office in Tucson AZ and will be reporting to the NSM Senior Finance Manager with annual sales of $180M.  This role will require evaluation of high-level data and inputs provided by the team, with an emphasis on providing consistent analysis and support across multiple contracts.

Finance serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic decision making and achieve bottom-line results.  Responsibilities include variance analysis, data reviewing and reporting, quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) development, project setup and NWA management. Providing support to Program Managers, IPT leads, and Control Account Managers (CAMs) in establishing and maintaining program budgets and forecasts is also required. Frequent interaction with various functions and multiple levels of the organization will be needed, so the successful candidate must possess strong presentation, communication, and professional skills.

Additionally, the selected candidate will be required to support both internal and external audits conducted by the internal Raytheon audit team. The selected candidate will be required to participate in the development of, and support to, internal and external monthly business reviews as well as the preparation of detailed performance and cost reports.

What You Will Do

  • In this unique role, you’ll have the opportunity to manage competing priorities, balance a variety of tasks, and interact with various levels of management .
  • This role is responsible for the EAC cadence, ensuring timely and meaningful reviews with all levels of management.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with the ability to drive difficult tasks to fruition.   
  • Working with bookings/backlog, providing inputs to Annual Operating Plan (AOP), 5 year Long Range Planning (LRP), establishing initial baseline for new awards, coordinating and performing Estimates-at-Complete (EACs) and execution / delivery of external CDRL requirement.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience. 
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) in program development and execution.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (i.e., pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word and PowerPoint.
  • Program Controls experience with data analysis, reporting and/or process improvement.
  • Experience with SAP Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, BW) or similar tools.

Additional Information

  • This position is grade P3, Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls.
  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
