Job Description*The Avionics Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Garmin glass cockpit avionics systems on corporate and general aviation aircraft.*This role ensures systems are operational, compliant with technical standards, and fully integrated with aircraft avionics.*The technician collaborates with engineering and production teams to maintain aircraft readiness and resolve complex avionics issues.

* Pay Rate: $38.00-$42.00/hour Education & Job Requirements
* Minimum 2+ years of hands-on avionics troubleshooting experience on corporate/general aviation airframes.
* Proven experience installing and configuring Garmin glass cockpit systems.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and STC installation manuals.
* Proficient in using aviation-specific diagnostic tools (multimeters, ohmmeters, pitot-static testers).
* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Professional Attributes
* Self-starter capable of troubleshooting complex avionics issues post-installation. Preferred Skills
* Capabilities in Collins Fusion software troubleshooting and loading.
* FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
* Experience with other systems such as Honeywell or Avidyne. Job Duties & Functions
* Efficiently load Garmin software updates, configure LRUs (Line Replaceable Units), and perform ground-test checkouts.
* Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and data bus communication errors (ARINC 429, RS-232, CAN bus).
* Assist with or perform installations of avionics systems and components per engineering drawings.
* Use ramp test sets for Transponder (Mode S), Pitot-Static, and RVSM validation.
* Complete repair station paperwork, including logbook entries and FAA Form 337. Physical Requirements & Environment
* Must be comfortable working in confined spaces (tail cones, under floorboards, behind panels).
