Engineer - BOS Design Functional Electrics 

Job Description:

The job holder is placed under the authority of the Structures - Aerostructures Data Management Team in the Airframe Department within Airbus Group India Private Limited.

Business Operational Support Design at Airbus India (BOS-Airframe) is responsible for providing support in reactive & proactive activities covered under Functional Electrics perimeters to the Airbus internal (CoE) & External (RSP, ESS, Suppliers) customers for all programs and manage all MP&T deviation requests coming from supply chain to ensure their validation. 

Main Activities:

• The jobholder will be the first Point of Contact for internal & external customers from the Functional Electrics perimeter.

• Manage & resolve Design incidents (L2 level –Reactive) for support in assessment, assignment, validation and process compliance monitoring.

• Demonstrate skills on stakeholder coordination, technical discussions/reviews, milestones achievement in line with business / customer needs

• Identify the relevant specialist, categorize to define a proactive action/solution and build knowledge management through articles.

• Formalise and evaluate potential improvements, and make proposals to Airbus Design Office Domains for improvements.

• Create awareness & provide support on new or updated procedures related to Design requirements to stakeholders.

• Network & liaise with a broad range of Design sub-domains.

• Contribute to reviews, provide technical support to peers and involved stakeholders.

• Comply with ways of working agreed between European Engineering Entities and the Indian Centre ensuring effective communication is established and maintained.

• Ensure the appropriate reporting and publishing on his/her activities, with a focus on the process followed, achievements and lessons learned.

• Support digitization and development of automation tools.

Skills:

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to the technical requirements 

• Good knowledge on some of the design tools:TAKSY, SEE-XP, CIRCE-C, CAPITAL- Logics and Topology, EDFU, ESDCR as an end user. 

• Very good analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills

• Programming skills in Python or scripting languages will be an added advantage

• Basic knowledge of automation and data analytics.

Qualification: B.E / M.E / M. Tech / Mechanical/Aeronautical

Experience: Preferably 3-8 years of relevant domain (Design) experience

Soft skills: 

• The job requires ability to communicate in a multicultural environment

• The job requires travels to Europe, as necessary for the efficiency of the project.

• To understand Airbus culture, procedures and customer needs

• Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution. Commitment to continuous learning

• Good verbal & written English skills are a must

• Demonstrated effectiveness in holding conversations with customers and customer-centric outreach
