* Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 2 or more years of related work experience (e.g., Master’s degree). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

* Experience with piping codes such as ASME B31.1 or B31.3.
* Understanding of pressure vessel fabrication processes and maintenance procedures.
* Knowledge of material mechanics and behavior under extreme conditions.
* Experience with non-destructive examination methods such as magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing.
* Knowledge of welding procedures and testing requirements.
* Experience applying thermodynamics and fluid mechanics principles.
* Experience designing autoclaves for composite curing processes.
* Experience designing quick actuating closures or breech lock door mechanisms.
* 5 or more years of 3D modeling experience.
* 5 or more years of GD&T experience. Job Duties & Functions
* Investigate and develop equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to support aerospace product design and build requirements.
* Perform tool liaison activities to support tool fabrication and production use.
* Participate in design reviews, collect requirements, and create or revise drawings and models.
* Develop specifications and purchase requests for new equipment and tooling.
* Ensure designs comply with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and support training development.
* Manage budgets and schedules to deliver tooling and equipment solutions.
* Support production operations by interfacing directly with personnel and equipment on the production floor. Physical Requirements & Environment

* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day.
