Job Description:
Support Engineer – FCAS ProgramWe are looking for a Support Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space SAU. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the supportability of our products and systems, influencing their design from the initial phases through to commissioning and ongoing support, with the objective of optimizing availability, reliability, and maintainability for the FCAS program.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and agree upon RAM/PMA requirements with the Design Office and suppliers, ensuring their successful implementation into the design.
Perform maintainability, reliability, availability, and maintenance economy analyses, as well as operational and mission reliability assessments. Produce engineering design documentation, including:
Trade-off analyses
FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis)
Qualitative Maintenance Analysis (QMA)
Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System)
Develop Preventive Maintenance Plans for the next generation of combat aircraft following S4000P standard guidelines.
Conduct comprehensive FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) utilizing advanced analytical skills and capabilities.
Interpret engineering and supplier documentation to perform systems, zonal, and structural analyses.
Work in close collaboration with Design Offices, Engineering, Flight Safety, Airworthiness, Program Management, ILS disciplines, and customers to:
Act as the Point of Contact for the Design Office (Concurrent Engineering), Program Officer, ILS disciplines, and suppliers regarding RAM/PMA activities (requirements, deliverables, etc.).
Prepare and attend Design Reviews.
Perform Maintainability Demonstrations (both on-aircraft and using Digital Mock-ups).
Candidate QualificationsUniversity degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field
experience in systems analysis, reliability engineering, maintainability, and Preventive Maintenance Analysis (PMA).
In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance methodologies and tools, specifically S4000P.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work autonomously and with initiative, solving problems effectively.
Availability for occasional travel as required by the position.
Airbus internship will be a plus
