  • Maintain and improve scripts, batch jobs, and integrations with surrounding systems

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with operations, finance, supply chain and other business teams using the ERP
  • Support the infrastructure, database, and network to resolve cross-domain issues
  • Collaborate with external vendors or support partners (where applicable)

Governance, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain clear technical and operational documentation, Standard Work (SOPs)

  • Comfort working with older/legacy technology stacks, such as one or more of: on-premises client-server systems, older relational databases, legacy integration tools, batch processing frameworks, or older programming languages (e.g. VB, 4GLs – depending on your stack)
  • Strong skills in SQL for troubleshooting, data analysis, and data corrections
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Unix/Linux servers, logs, and basic system administration concepts
  • Understanding of application operations, incident management, and change management processes
  • Experience in web coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience in web frameworks React, Vue

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical issues for non-technical users
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with operations and business users
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity in older systems with limited documentation
  • Ownership mentality with a focus on reliabilitystability, and user experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with an ERP platform, especially older COTS applications
  • Exposure to ITIL-aligned support processes (incident, problem, change management)
  • Experience participating in migration or modernisation projects from legacy systems
  • Experience creating runbooks, SOPs, and training materials for application support

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to own and stabilise a critical legacy ERP application that the business relies on every day
  • Close collaboration with operations and business users, with visible impact on day-to-day outcomes
  • A supportive environment for continuous learning, especially in understanding complex, real-world systems
  • Potential to be involved in modernisation initiatives and future-state platform planning

If you are a technically curious, user-focused engineer who enjoys making complex legacy systems run smoothly and reliably, we’d like to hear from you.
