Role Summary
* In this role, you will support Systems Engineering and Integration activities focused on requirements engineering, system architecture, design, and verification and validation for complex aerospace systems. You will apply the systems engineering V-Diagram process in alignment with industry certification standards while working across multidisciplinary engineering teams. You will contribute to the development of compliant, robust system solutions that support certification and long-term operational success. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience performing systems engineering lifecycle activities within aerospace, automotive, or other complex system domains.
* Hands-on experience applying V-Diagram processes, including requirements definition, design, implementation, verification, and validation.
* Knowledge of safety assessment processes, including Functional Hazard Assessments, Preliminary System Safety Assessments, System Safety Assessments, Common Mode Analyses, and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses.
* Familiarity with certification and regulatory frameworks, including ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
* Strong analytical skills, technical writing capability, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
* The ability to work 100 onsite in Everett, Washington, with support activities in Renton, Washington.
* The ability to relocate at personal expense if currently residing out of state.
* U.S. Person status for purposes of export compliance. Preferred Skills
* You will have:
* Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS.
* Experience with system modeling tools and languages, including SysML, UML, Cameo, or equivalent platforms.
* Experience in planning and executing test activities across multiple levels of system integration.
* Knowledge of aircraft design, development, and certification processes. Job Duties & Functions
* You will:
* Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation from aircraft-level requirements to system and item-level requirements.
* Develop and maintain functional and logical airplane and system architectures.
* Support and contribute to safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Assessments, Preliminary System Safety Assessments, and Common Mode Analyses, to meet safety objectives.
* Guide item-level design and implementation while maintaining traceability to higher-level system requirements.
* Plan and execute verification and validation activities across the systems engineering V-model, including item verification, system integration and verification, and aircraft-level verification.
* Support additional safety analyses, including System Safety Assessments and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses.
* Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams throughout design, integration, and test phases.
* Prepare technical documentation and provide engineering support for certification authorities such as the FAA and EASA.
* Participate in technical design reviews, audits, and engineering interchange meetings.
