The Aircraft Upholstery Sewer will be required to remove, install, and/or fabricate aircraft interiors and must have a thorough understanding of aircraft interiors in addition to an advanced knowledge of upholstered items found in aircraft interiors.

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with Sewing & decorative stitches (including French seam/top stitch, welt stitch, pleated vinyl/button fitting)
• Experience working with various fabrics (including high-end leathers, vinyl, etc.)  
• Have Experience with foam building
• Perform complete upholstery refurbishment of aircraft seats from start to finish, including inspection, disassembly and assembly, prep work, foam work, patterning, sewing and installation of dress covers
• Possess a working familiarity with different seat styles typical to aircraft 
• Diagnose seat problems in and out of the aircraft and perform necessary corrective actions
• Possess a thorough understanding of FAA flammability requirements for all materials used
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required 
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
• Reliable, self-motivated, and professional
• Must possess own tools required for the job

Minimum Experience & Education

• 3 Years experience working with flame retardant fabric.
• High School degree or equivalent required.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience removing, installing, and fabricating aircraft interiors for corporate aircraft (King Air, Hawker, Citation, Gulfstream, Challenger, etc.)
