Contract Position
$32.64/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support to logistics and inventory management for Abrams Tank systems, including tool, part, and supply tracking, documentation, and material movement.
Receive, store, issue, and track bench stock, repair parts, tools, and Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE) for Abrams vehicles.
Maintain accurate stock control and accounting records using manual and automated maintenance systems (e.g., SAMS-E, SARS, LMP, PBUSE).
Manage HAZMAT shelf life surveillance requirements.
Generate reorder and inventory management reports (Reorder/Reorder Point – RO/ROP).
Conduct location surveys, inventories, and update records for tools and STTE.
Provide administrative support to Tool Room operations.
Transport parts and supplies using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or commercial vehicles.
Work in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes and outdoor fielding areas.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, preferably within military environments.
Familiar with military logistics terminology, NSNs (National Stock Numbers), hand receipts, tool nomenclature, and supply documentation.
Prior experience supporting Retrofit Teams and understanding of related supply support activities.
Systems/Tools:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Willing to train on SAMS-E, SARS, LMP, and PBUSE.
Familiarity with Lotus Notes preferred.
Licensing/Certifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Able to obtain DA Form 348 certification for operating forklifts, MHE, and U.S. Government vehicles.
Physical & Site Requirements:
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and climb ladders.
Capable of working in extreme temperatures and motor pool or fielding environments.
Travel required to U.S. military or field sites in support of GDLS fielding operations.
