Job Description

The role requires an Inspector who possesses a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, shop methods and practices, aircraft standards, and the use of manuals. The individual must be knowledgeable in the theory of flight, operation of engines, airframe and accessory overhaul, and applicable regulations regarding the assembly, repair, overhaul, and operation of aircraft within their scope of approval.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and components.
• Utilize manuals and standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Execute repairs, overhauls, and maintenance on engines and airframes.
• Perform troubleshooting and heavy maintenance checks.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Experience working on actual aircraft, particularly with engine removals of Challenger aircraft.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of aircraft systems.
• Experience with Dash 8, Q400, and Challenger aircraft is an asset.

• M2 or M1 certification.
• Any endorsements on Challenger aircraft are a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean hangar space with multiple aircrafts within the hangar. It may get colder when the hangar doors are open, but remains comfortable. The culture is multicultural and unionized, with no issues between contractors and unionized employees. The team consists of 80 people in production, including 10 contractors. The dress code includes safety boots, black/navy cargo pants, t-shirt, and safety glasses. The role offers both day and PM shifts: Day shift from 7AM-3:30PM and PM shift from 2:30PM-11PM, with flexibility for both shifts preferred.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
