Overview:

As a Flight Simulator Mechanic, you will work hands-on with advanced simulator systems, structural components, motion platforms, and integrated mechanical assemblies that replicate real-world aircraft environments. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, a strong team environment, and the opportunity to work on highly technical aerospace systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and modify flight simulator structural and mechanical components including control linkages, throttle systems, consoles, cabinets, fuselage components, and motion system actuators.
- Read and interpret work orders, assembly drawings, schematics, engineering orders, and parts lists.
- Measure parts and verify tolerances using precision measuring equipment.
- Fabricate parts from raw materials and perform drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, and fastening of components to close tolerances.
- Assist with simulator bay preparation including motion pad layout, adapter plate installation, and computer flooring installation.
- Support hardware and software integration, simulator installs, teardown, packing, shipping, and site installations.
- Assist with trainer modifications, upgrades, relocations, and installations both domestically and overseas.
- Support inventory, tool control, and equipment tracking processes.
