Job Summary:
The A&P Inspector is responsible for ensuring airworthiness and regulatory compliance of corporate and commercial jet aircraft through detailed inspections, documentation, and return-to-service activities. This role serves as a key quality and technical resource, supporting maintenance operations with precision inspections, weighing procedures, and accurate recordkeeping in accordance with FAA and customer requirements.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Adhere to General Work Requirements as required in coordination with Quality leadership.
  • Conduct aircraft weighing procedures in accordance with manufacturer recommended practices and procedures.
  • Upon aircraft arrival, obtain associated documentation, complete aircraft records, and document receipt.
  • Coordinate inspection activities in compliance with computer tracking maintenance programs (i.e., CAMP, AVTRAC).
  • Perform inspections of aircraft, engines, parts, and components using precision tools, equipment, and other materials in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Upon receipt, perform inspection of all new, repaired, and rebuilt parts/components for evidence of physical damage, count, and conformity.
  • Ensure all work packages (orders and forms) as well as records of arrival, maintenance, and corrective actions performed are documented accurately, and that all specialized customer (RED, RFE & SRPSA) and regulatory paperwork (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) is complete and required approvals have been obtained.
  • Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, ENICO, EO, DCN).
  • Perform walk around inspection of aircraft for release from maintenance.
  • Perform return-to-service process and ensure assigned aircraft meets all airworthiness requirements prior to return to service.
  • Provide data to customers as requested.

How to Thrive in This Role:

  • You have an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years aircraft maintenance experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of corporate/commercial jet experience.
  • You own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory & control of tools.
  • You have the ability to use a variety of measuring and basic hand tools to interpret/operate test equipment.
  • You have the ability to interpret/process all relevant (foreign & domestic) regulatory documents, actions, and requirements.
  • You have working knowledge of FAA Regs, CAA, RSM/QCM, ADs, SBs, TCDS, etc.
  • You have working knowledge of return-to-service procedures.
  • You have the ability to train, coach, and mentor employees in performance of their duties in areas of qualification.
  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Working Conditions:

  • Hangar and ramp environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work on maintenance stands, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs with/without reasonable accommodation.
  • Various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
  • Some travel may be required to support customer or off-site operations.

Skills You Bring:

  • Regulatory Expertise: Deep understanding of FAA, CAA, and customer-specific paperwork requirements.
  • Inspection Precision: Skilled in use of precision tools and inspection techniques for airframe, powerplant, and components.
  • Technical Research: Ability to navigate OEM manuals, drawings, and engineering data for compliance verification.
  • Leadership: Ability to coach and mentor technicians on quality and airworthiness standards.
  • Accountability: Ownership of return-to-service decisions and documentation integrity.

Tool Requirements
  • Tool Inventory: Provide a typed tool inventory sheet with a minimum tool list.
  • Tool Identification: Tools must be shadowed and etched with 2 letters and 4 numbers (e.g., AB1234).
Uniform Policy
  • Uniform Requirements: Wear the specified uniform, including:
  • Navy Blue or Grey Pants
  • Solid Dark Grey T-Shirt or Sweatshirt
  • Solid black professional-looking closed-toe shoes
  • Solid black belt or suspenders (no exposed metal)
  • Solid black winter hats or knit caps
  • Safety Shoes: Steel, Composite, or Aluminum-toed shoes required.
