Role IntroductionReports To: Head of Cargo Digital
This role is part of the Cargo Digital team, which is committed to driving innovation and transformation across the cargo business through technology and data.
As the Cargo Digital Manager – Transformation, you will shape the future of cargo by identifying digital opportunities and turning them into impactful solutions.
You will be responsible for analysing business needs, developing a forward-looking digital strategy, and executing initiatives that enhance commercial planning and operational efficiency.
With your expertise in digital transformation, you will help design smarter customer and commercial experiences, and contribute to building a more agile, data-driven cargo business.
Key Responsibilities- Drive revenue growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies across pricing, distribution, and space allocation
- Formulate and implement sales, pricing, solution, and distribution policies tailored to the assigned sales region to achieve revenue targets and maintain spanet leadership
- Contribute commercial insights to network and route planning to enhance the spanetability of our services and solutions
- Manage short- to medium-term capacity allocation to optimize profitability while balancing long-term strategic interests
- Provide strategic recommendations on contract design and space allocation
- Improve sales team efficiency and effectiveness through process enhancements, Lean methodologies, and automation where applicable
- Equip the team with the necessary skills and knowledge aligned with business needs, and establish a robust succession plan to ensure continuity
- Ensure all sales activities comply with corporate policies, including anti-trust, anti-bribery, anti-competition, and data privacy regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cargo agents, shippers, postal service providers, and interline partners to identify opportunities and gather spanet intelligence
- Lead or participate in strategic projects aligned with our cargo vision in Expertise, Quality, and Innovation
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in air cargo and/or airline industry, ideally in commercial functions with proven managerial experience
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Cantonese: proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Solid business acumen with strong analytical and negotiation capabilities
- Familiarity with air cargo sales, services, operations, and systems is preferred
- Prior experience in change management and organizational/people development
