How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager – Tax Accounting and Income Tax to join our tax team. This leadership role is primarily responsible for overseeing tax accounting and reporting functions in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong tax and accounting technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across departments. Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Review and analyze tax provision components, including current taxable income forecasts, deferred tax calculations, valuation allowance assessments, uncertain tax positions, account reconciliations, and related footnote disclosures.Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.Assist in the income tax compliance process by reviewing tax returns and book-tax differences.Manage relationships with external auditors on tax-related matters, including provision reviews and audit support.Maintain and enhance internal controls over tax accounting and reporting processes.Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, and business unit teams to identify and address tax issues.Support and contribute to domestic and international tax planning initiatives.Forecast taxable income and analyze variances to support business planning and decision making.Analyze the tax impact of business transactions and provide guidance to stakeholders.Clearly communicate tax positions, risks, and opportunities to internal teams through written memos and presentations.Foster a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, mentoring staff, and promoting open communication.Maintain thorough documentation of tax positions and conclusions.Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.Key Competencies: Strategic ThinkingCollaboration and InfluenceAnalytical Problem SolvingAttention to DetailLeadership and Team DevelopmentEffective Communication

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) 8+ years of progressive experience in tax accounting and planning in a corporate or Big 4 environment.CPA required Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, and tax compliance requirements.Experience managing external auditors and implementing effective tax controls.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex tax matters clearly.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Corptax, Hyperion and SAP a plus.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, and tax compliance requirements.Experience managing external auditors and implementing effective tax controls.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex tax matters clearly.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Corptax, Hyperion and SAP a plus.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
