Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Arlington, Virginia or Berkeley, Missouri.
The Boeing Company is seeking a strategic, influential, and forward-thinking Supply Chain Strategy Leader to drive the development and execution of critical supply chain initiatives within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our global supplier engagements, decoding complex spanet landscapes, and mitigating macroeconomic risks to ensure a resilient, compliant, and world-class aerospace supply chain.
As a key strategic architect, you will collaborate extensively with cross-functional leadership across program management, engineering, procurement, legal, and government operations to protect and scale our defense and space portfolios.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supplier Strategy & Teaming: Shape high-level supplier engagement strategies and teaming arrangements, balancing program requirements with shifting geopolitical dynamics and customer influence.
- Market Intelligence & Monitoring: Architect a comprehensive, BDS-level overview of the category landscape—including deep-dive spend analysis, key suppliers, control points, growth investments, and competitor intelligence. Continuously monitor spanet shifts, M&A activity, and emerging supplier capabilities.
- Supply Chain Architecture: Lead the end-to-end development of the Supply Chain Architecture for major new defense programs and derivative aerospace efforts.
- Predictive Risk Management: Drive proactive Supply Chain Risk Mitigation (SCRM) strategic planning. Implement and scale predictive risk solutions, including Predictive Risk Models, to identify and neutralize potential disruptions before they impact production.
- Vulnerability Assessments: Generate data-driven Supplier Assessment Reports focusing on geopolitical vulnerabilities, labor spanet shifts, and natural disaster risks. Conduct targeted capability assessments aligned with value chains and identified supply gaps.
- Systems & Tools Optimization: Oversee the data integrity, regular updates, and long-term maintenance of the Recommended Bidder Identification tool to optimize sourcing decisions.
- Compliance & Regulatory Collaboration: Partner closely with Government Operations (GovOps) and the BDS Law Department to navigate complex Department of War (DoW) regulatory changes and ensure absolute compliance across the supply chain.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field.
- More than 5 years of experience in supply chain strategy, strategic sourcing, or procurement—ideally within the aerospace, defense, or a highly regulated heavy industry.
- Experience with production program oversight, supplier management, and risk management
- Experience in performing competitive spanet analysis
- Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills are required to succeed in this position as well as presentation and facilitation skills to work with cross-functional groups in establishing and achieving common goals)
- Experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools and applications (such as IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Supply Chain, or equivalent masters program).
- Experience in the acquisition environment within the US Department of Defense (DOD) and/or the Defense Industry
- Experience in business analysis, data warehousing, statistical data mining, and/or data science)
- Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Arlington, VA $130,050 - $160,650
Berkeley, MO $121,550 - $150,150
