Boeings Enterprise Services (ES) Tech & Systems organization is seeking a Senior Data Governance Lead to join our ES Data Governance team. The position is available at any of our major Boeing sites.
This person should be curious, looking for insights into data that can turn into actionable and measurable outcomes, and a storyteller at their core.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead and manage data governance initiatives focused on master and reference data across the enterprise to develop and articulate the organizations data governance vision, strategy, and roadmap.
Lead the implementation and operation of the organization’s master data management solution (e.g., SAP MDG (SAP Master Data Governance)) to govern master data domains (e.g., customers, assets. vendors, materials, parts, etc.).
Guide and support data governance councils, data stewards, data owners, and business units to define and maintain data policies, standards, and taxonomies to align on enterprise data strategy and drive data quality initiatives.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data dictionaries, metadata repositories, data lineage and business glossaries ensuring consistency of terms, definitions, and data standards across systems.
Implement and optimize MDM (Master Data Management) workflows, data models, and governance frameworks to manage the organization’s data (assets, customers, vendors, parts, etc.).
Partner with IT and business teams to ensure compliance with data governance policies, large-scale data transformation and migration initiatives, and drive resolution of data quality issues.
Define, implement, and enforce data governance policies, processes, and frameworks in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
Support change management, training, and communications to promote enterprise-wide understanding and adoption of data governance practices.
Implement strategies consistent with industry best practices in data governance and master data management.
Work with the Data Management Office and Enterprise Services leadership team to help manage and implement data solutions as well as support data projects.
Prepare and present data governance reports, dashboards, and metrics to senior leadership.
This role requires up to 20 for domestic travel.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with data governance frameworks and compliance standards relevant to data management
5+ years of experience in metadata management and/or data management
Understanding of Data Governance processes and frameworks
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Ability to travel up to 20 of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
Knowledge on the SAP MDG (SAP Master Data Governance) platform
Experience in large-scale ERP transformations or S/4HANA implementations
Experience with Data Governance tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with continuous improvement
Experience with problem solving, creating solutions, and executing to deliver value for customers
Experience mentoring and coaching employees
Industry experience in regulated sectors (e.g., financial services, life sciences, manufacturing, aviation) is a plus
Experience with collaborating across the globe

Summary Pay Range: $136,850 - $213,900
