Intern position will be tasked with various short/long term projects to gather and analyze data required for efficient design/processing of forgings. Intern will be exposed to manufacturing environment, estimating of forging processes, manufacturing process planning, heat treatment, etc.
Essential Functions:
*Learn about the forging process and production tracking
*Assist with the purchasing of supplies for the forge shop
*Suggest projects to help improve productivity or reduce variable cost
*Track projects to determine success or failure and the potential impact
*Hold responsible for individual and group projects
*Other projects/duties as needed
Job Qualifications:
Minimum second year students working towards Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. A strong technical aptitude along with the ability to work independently, yet interact closely with other departments, customers, and vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Oracle a plus.
Intern position will be flexible to work around breaks, weekly school schedule, etc.
