Job Summary
The Avionics Technician (AT) works as part of an assigned hangar team which is comprised of AMTs, ATs, Interiors and Quality Inspectors in support of aircraft maintenance projects. The AT performs installation, inspections, testing and troubleshooting of avionics systems.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Accomplishes all work while following company and industry safety standards while maintaining the highest level of quality.
· Adheres to all FAA Regulations, the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), and all other approved data.
· Performs the required avionics maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repairs needed for Falcon Jet aircraft as identified in the work order.
· Perform wiring installations, termination of wiring bundles, ring out of wire harnesses and power checks.
· Capable of performing aircraft function testing for avionics ATA systems.
· Understand the principles of AC/DC functionality.
· Able to read and interpret wiring schematics and blueprints.
· Ensures all documents are signed off completely, properly and in a timely manner in accordance with the RSQCM.
· Maintains the utmost level of professionalism at all times.
· Works assigned shift and unscheduled overtime as-needed or requested.
· Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times.
· Adheres to company dress standards.
· Perform all other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.
Qualifications
· High school graduate or equivalent with additional courses in aircraft maintenance in recognized service or technical school programs.
· 1-3 years of Falcon Avionics experience preferred
· Proficient (or ability to become proficient) with Corridor, Field 6, Honeywell and Collins Aerospace manuals.
· Successful completion of all AT-1 assigned tasks or equivalent experience.
· Must have required tools (see approved minimum tool list).
Working Conditions
· Works in a climate controlled hangars. (Heated and Cooled)
· Occasionally works outside on tarmac in atmospheric weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to wear and utilize personal protective equipment
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance
· Comfortable in tightly enclosed areas, heights involving lifts and ladders, as well as, flying.
· Requires the ability to perform all physical functions of the job (hear, stand, kneel, walk, etc.
Compensation and Benefits:
The final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
